Is there an age limit on lessons?
There is no set age limit on lessons, although the size of anyone taking part does make a difference. We have lifejackets down to an XXS Youths which we find fit children from the age of 6. Anyone under the age of 14 (booked as a child) will need to be accompanied on the water by an adult.
What will i learn on the lesson?
The main aim of a lesson is to teach you the fundamentals of Stand Up Paddleboarding and how to do it safely!

- Site Assesment
- How to make headway on the SUP if conditions become unsuitable for standing up
- How to safely stand and find your balance
- Basic paddling and turning techniques
What equipment is provided on a lesson?
All the equipment you require for a safe enjoyable lesson is provided within the price of the lesson, including;
- Board
- Paddle
- Leash
- Lifejacket
Unfortunately we do not provide wetsuits.
How long does a lesson last?
A lesson is for 1 hour.
What is a dry bag?
A dry bag is a great piece of equipment to keep your electronic devices safe when in the water. Perfect if you want to capture any pictures whilst you’re out there!
Do i need to pre-book?
Yes, for any SUP lesson you will need to pre-book. Please note that all lessons are weather dependant, we try and book lessons at a time convenient to you, but this can sometimes be difficult if the conditions aren’t satisfactory.
